Some stories are celebrated. Others are challenged, misunderstood, or overlooked. Some help us understand who we are, while others invite us to imagine who we might become. At Moonflower & Myth, we believe every story has the power to illuminate, connect, and cultivate belonging.
Moonflower & Myth was created as a home for readers, writers, educators, librarians, and dreamers a place where curiosity is encouraged, conversations are welcomed, and stories are allowed to bloom in their own time.
Here, you'll find book reviews, author conversations, recommendations, and reflections on literature that celebrate the many ways people experience the world. We are especially passionate about inclusive storytelling, children's literature, queer and neurodivergent representation, and the books that make us feel a little less alone.
Our name is rooted in symbolism. The moonflower blooms at night, reminding us that there is no single path to becoming who we are. Myth represents the stories we tell our folklore, our histories, our communities, and the narratives that shape us. Together, they remind us that there is beauty in being different and strength in sharing our stories.
My hope for Moonflower & Myth is simple: to create a space where people can discover books that feel like home.
